Core controls

Safety & Compliance Controls

These controls are designed to protect passengers, drivers, partners, and the public while supporting insurance, partner, and audit readiness.

👤

Driver Screening

Drivers must complete onboarding, screening, training, policy acknowledgments, and final management activation before service. Driver eligibility may include background review, MVR review, document monitoring, insurance verification, vehicle compliance review, and ongoing performance monitoring.

🚘

Vehicle Approval

Vehicles must be documented, insured, registered, inspected, roadworthy, clean, and approved before use.

🛡

Insurance Review

Driver and vehicle insurance must be active, acceptable, and monitored for expiration, lapse, or cancellation.

📋

Incident Reporting

Accidents, complaints, passenger falls, near misses, vehicle issues, unsafe locations, and privacy concerns are documented and reviewed.

Ongoing Monitoring

Driver performance, complaints, MVR alerts, documents, vehicle status, and compliance trends may be monitored.

🔒

Privacy & Data Protection

Passenger and trip information must be used only for authorized transportation purposes and protected from improper disclosure.

Trip safety lifecycle

Before, During, and After Each Trip

Wavz Ride’s safety model is not limited to the driving portion of a trip. It begins before assignment and continues through trip documentation, incident review, and follow-up when needed.

1

Before the Trip

Driver and vehicle must be eligible, approved, insured, documented, and ready. Drivers confirm trip details, safe routing, passenger notes, phone/navigation readiness, and vehicle condition.

2

Pickup & Boarding

Drivers verify the passenger and destination, park safely, allow time for boarding, ensure seatbelt use, and provide only basic non-medical assistance within Wavz Ride’s approved scope.

3

During Transport

Drivers follow traffic laws, avoid aggressive or distracted driving, communicate delays, and never attempt to make up time through unsafe driving, speeding, or risky shortcuts.

4

After the Trip

Trip status, delays, incidents, complaints, vehicle issues, property issues, or safety concerns are documented through approved procedures for review and follow-up.

Passenger care boundaries

Respectful care within clear service limits.

Wavz Ride serves ambulatory passengers who can enter and exit a standard passenger vehicle with basic assistance. Drivers are expected to communicate respectfully, allow extra time, and protect passenger dignity while staying within approved assistance limits.

Opening doors and offering a steady hand are permitted when safe.
Drivers may provide verbal guidance and patience during boarding and exiting.
Drivers must not lift, carry, transfer, restrain, administer medication, or provide medical care.
If assistance beyond scope is needed, drivers must stop, escalate, and request guidance.

Service Limits

Wavz Ride does not provide emergency medical transportation, ambulance service, stretcher transportation, clinical care, passenger lifting, passenger transfers, or wheelchair-accessible vehicle transportation unless separately authorized in future operations.

For medical emergencies, call 911.

Incident response

Fast escalation, clear documentation, controlled follow-up.

Drivers must report accidents, incidents, complaints, passenger falls, vehicle issues, unsafe conditions, privacy concerns, and near misses. Safety comes before schedules and trip completion.

🚨

Immediate Safety First

Drivers stop safely, assess passengers and involved individuals, protect against further harm, contact emergency services when needed, and notify Wavz Ride.

📞

911 Triggers

Drivers call 911 for injuries, passenger emergency requests, hazardous collisions, unsafe disabled vehicles, threatening behavior, or uncertainty about emergency assistance.

📸

Documentation

Reports must be factual and include trip reference, date/time, location, description, emergency response, injuries, vehicle status, witnesses, and supporting photos when safe.

Weather & service interruption

Florida-ready weather controls.

Wavz Ride may adjust, delay, restrict, or suspend service during severe weather, flooding, emergency declarations, hurricanes, road closures, communication outages, or conditions that materially affect driver or passenger safety.

Drivers must never drive through flooded roads or uncertain standing water.
Drivers must reduce speed, increase following distance, and stop service if conditions become unsafe.
Post-weather vehicle checks may be required before return to service.
Monitoring & corrective action

Approval is not permanent.

Driver participation depends on ongoing eligibility, valid documents, acceptable driving record, vehicle compliance, professional conduct, complaint history, and cooperation during reviews.

Performance scoring may include on-time performance, completion rate, complaints, incidents, vehicle condition, communication, and policy compliance.
Serious or repeated concerns may trigger coaching, retraining, restriction, suspension, or removal review.
Drivers must report license, insurance, vehicle, MVR, incident, or medical-condition changes that may affect safe service.

Safety is not a slogan. It is the operating system.

Wavz Ride’s controls are designed to support safer scheduled transportation, better partner confidence, stronger driver accountability, and clearer incident response.
