Wavz Ride is looking for drivers who understand that scheduled transportation is different from casual rideshare. Reliability, safety, passenger dignity, documentation, and approved-vehicle standards are part of the role from the beginning.

No self-activation. No shortcuts.

Submitting an application does not authorize service. Drivers cannot transport passengers, receive trips, or represent themselves as active until Wavz Ride completes the required review and final activation.

Safety-first operationSafety must control when schedules, earnings, passenger requests, or convenience conflict with safe service.

Professional passenger carePassengers must be treated with dignity, patience, and respect, especially when extra time or basic assistance is needed.

Approved assistance onlyDrivers may provide basic non-medical assistance, but must not lift, carry, transfer, administer medication, or provide clinical care.

Approved vehicle onlyDriver approval does not automatically approve every vehicle. Vehicles are reviewed separately before service.
Application to activation

Wavz Ride uses defined review steps so applicants, documents, screening, vehicle readiness, training, and acknowledgments are not skipped.

Apply

Submit basic eligibility, contact, location, and vehicle-access information through the driver application.

Role Review

Review scheduled-trip expectations, passenger care limits, contractor relationship, and service responsibilities.

Screening

Complete required background, MVR, identity, authorization, and eligibility review steps.

Documents

Submit license, insurance, registration, vehicle information, inspection items, and required acknowledgments.

Final Review

Complete training, policy review, vehicle approval, agreement, and final activation review before service.

Independent contractor role

Operate independently, comply continuously.

Drivers participate as independent contractors, not employees. That means drivers are responsible for their vehicle, expenses, taxes, insurance, documents, availability decisions, and safe operation. At the same time, participation depends on Wavz Ride’s safety, documentation, passenger-care, and compliance standards.

Drivers are responsible for vehicle costs, fuel, maintenance, registration, insurance, and tax obligations.
Accepted or assigned trips must be handled according to scheduled pickup windows and service standards.
Drivers may perform services for other companies if those commitments do not interfere with accepted Wavz Ride trips or safety obligations.

Baseline expectations

Age 25 or older
Valid, active, unrestricted driver’s license
Functioning smartphone for communication, navigation, and trip tools
Acceptable background, MVR, and screening results
Access to a suitable, documented, approved four-door vehicle
Ability to communicate professionally with passengers, dispatch, facilities, and emergency responders

Vehicle and document readiness

A driver may not use a vehicle for Wavz Ride service unless that vehicle has been reviewed and approved. Required records may include vehicle registration, insurance, inspection information, vehicle photos, VIN/plate information, and owner authorization when needed.

Approval is ongoing.

Driver approval is not permanent. Wavz Ride may monitor documents, insurance, MVR alerts, vehicle condition, complaints, incidents, communication, trip completion, and performance trends. Serious or repeated concerns may result in coaching, retraining, restriction, suspension, or removal review.
