Approved passenger vehicle traveling on a safe Florida road

Safety & compliance

Controls built intoevery ride.

Our scheduled model combines controlled onboarding, approved drivers and vehicles, service limits, incident reporting, ongoing monitoring, and written operating standards.

01Scheduled model

Planned assignments—not open rideshare.

02Approved drivers

No self-activation, substitutes, or ghost drivers.

03Approved vehicles

Insurance, registration, and condition controls.

04Clear service limits

Ambulatory, basic non-medical support.

Written standards

Safety is a system of repeatable decisions.

Approval is not permanent. Readiness is reviewed before activation and monitored as documents, vehicles, service patterns, and operating conditions change.

01

Driver controls

Screening, identity and driving-record review, training, acknowledgments, and final activation.

02

Vehicle controls

Registration, insurance, inspection information, condition review, and approved-use rules.

03

Incident response

Required reporting for accidents, falls, complaints, near misses, vehicle issues, and privacy concerns.

04

Ongoing monitoring

Document status, performance, complaints, incidents, vehicle condition, and corrective action.

Trip lifecycle

Readiness before movement. Follow-through after arrival.

Each trip stage carries clear safety and documentation expectations.

  1. 01

    Before the trip

Confirm service eligibility, assigned route, driver documents, passenger scope, and vehicle readiness.

  2. 02

    Pickup & boarding

Verify the passenger and destination, park safely, confirm seatbelt use, and stay within basic-assistance limits.

  3. 03

    During transport

Follow traffic laws, drive defensively, and never use distracted, aggressive, or unsafe catch-up driving.

  4. 04

    After the trip

Document delays, complaints, incidents, property concerns, privacy matters, or vehicle issues for follow-up.

Incident response

Protect first. Report clearly. Review completely.

Drivers stop safely, prevent further harm, contact emergency services when needed, notify Wavz Ride, and document the facts while they are still clear.

A report may include

  • Trip reference, date, time, and location
  • Factual sequence and emergency response
  • Injuries and vehicle status
  • Witnesses and photos when safe
Call 911

For injuries, a passenger emergency request, hazardous collision, unsafe disabled vehicle, threatening behavior, or uncertainty about immediate danger.

Florida operating conditions

When conditions change, the safest plan changes too.

Service may be adjusted, delayed, restricted, or suspended for severe weather, flooding, hurricanes, closures, outages, emergency declarations, or unsafe roads. Drivers never enter flooded or uncertain water.

Ongoing eligibility

Approval has to be maintained.

Monitoring may consider on-time performance, trip completion, complaints, incidents, vehicle condition, communication, and policy compliance.

Concerns can trigger coaching, retraining, restriction, suspension, or removal review. Drivers must report changes to licenses, insurance, vehicles, driving records, incidents, or medical conditions that could affect safety.
